The terrible vampiric creature lies dead, as the dark priest of Gloomking(1) who had sought to aid the creature. Though he himself has been harmed, Zerkestor went among his companions and with murmured prayers to the Thunderer, he healed their hurts.

Despite the pain from the battle, the hearts of the company are glad. There is a sense of triumph in the air – the former students of Atroa have won a hard-fought victory here today. Through their valiant deeds many innocent lives have been saved. The threat to the village of Kemend is no more.

Thus, it is with elated hearts that the company started on the returning road.
